Trunk or Treat Candy Loop
On Halloween, Saturday October 31st from 3-6 pm located in Arenas 2 & 4!
Get Ready for Queen Creek’s Largest Trunk or Treat!
The Trunk or Treat Candy Loop takes over Arenas 2 & 4 at Horseshoe Harvest Hangout! Two entire arenas at a total of 90,000 sqft will be packed wall to wall with decorated side-by-sides, trucks, jeeps & more, all handing out candy and bringing the Halloween spirit.
Grab the kids, wear the costumes, and get ready for one of the biggest trunk or treat events in the East Valley!
It happens Saturday, October 31st from 3–6PM, and it’s free to enjoy, just pay for parking.
This event is hosted by Offroad Riders at American Legion Post 54. If you’d like to attend with your vehicle, sign up for free by clicking the link or button below.
4D Open Jackpot Barrel Race (Friday)
Kick off Horseshoe Harvest Hangout weekend with the 2nd Annual 4D Open Jackpot Barrel Race, produced by BR Diamond Spur Barrel Production and held in the Horseshoe Park Tuff Shed Outdoor Arena (Arena 2) on Friday, October 30th!
Exhibitions run from 5:00–6:30 PM with the jackpot beginning at 7:00 PM. Classes include Open 4D, Youth 3D, Rookie 3D, Peewee 1D, and AF — with 70% payback and cash prizes.
Spectators are welcome free of charge. Competitors can enter directly through BR Diamond Spur — see the flyer for entry fees, class details, and contact information.
Also, in the spirit of Halloween, BR Diamond Spur Barrel Productions is hosting a Equine Halloween Costume Contest taking place in Arena 2 right before the first rider runs. Check out the details by clicking here.
Halloween Costume Contest (Saturday)
Think you’ve got the best Halloween costume at Horseshoe Harvest Hangout? Here’s your chance to prove it!
Our People Costume Contest is free to enter, open to all ages, and takes place on Saturday, October 31st — yes, it’s on Halloween!
Starting at 2:30 PM, Roots N’ Boots Queen Creek Rodeo Royalty will be roaming the event selecting standout costumes throughout the afternoon. If you’re chosen, you’ll check in at the Barney Pavilion between 4:30–4:45 PM before taking the Outdoor Stage at 5:00 PM for the final showdown in front of the crowd.

Winners AND runners-up in each category will receive gift certificates to Cowboy Hardware — just head to their booth to claim your prize!

Equine Halloween Costume Contest (Friday)
Your horse deserves a Halloween moment too.
The Equine Costume Contest is coming to Horseshoe Harvest Hangout on Friday, October 30th — and we want to see your best Halloween look in the arena!
Dress up your horse, ride in costume yourself (must be on horseback), or go all out and do both. It’s free to enter and open to all riders — sign-ups take place at the event just before the contest begins at 7:00 PM.

Immediately following the costume contest, the 4D Open Jackpot Barrel Race hosted by BR Diamond Spur gets underway in the Horseshoe Park Tuff Shed Outdoor Arena. Peewee riders will go first, followed by the combo draw.

Pet Halloween Costume Contest (Saturday)
Calling all pet owners!
The Halloween Pet Costume Contest is coming to Horseshoe Harvest Hangout on Saturday, October 31st — Halloween — and your furry family member deserves a moment in the spotlight.
Dogs, cats, and household pets of all kinds are welcome. It’s free to enter, open to all ages, and judging takes place right on the arena floor in Arena 1.
Check-in runs from 2:15–3:00 PM with judging beginning at 3:15 PM. Parade your pet in front of the judges and show off that costume — tricks are encouraged, but not required. Just put your pet in their best light!
Four categories to compete in:
Cutest
Most Original
Best Duo (you and your pet together!)
Fan Favorite (the audience chooses from the top three winners!)
All animals must be leashed or otherwise contained.
Pre-registration is encouraged to secure your spot. You can also sign up in-person at the Ranch Dog Productions vendor booth the day of the event.

Kids Zone Activities
Located in the Festival Area
The Kids Zone at Horseshoe Harvest Hangout is the place to be for family fun all weekend long. Located in the Festival Area, it’s packed with inflatables including bounce houses, obstacle courses, and slides, plus a mechanical bull for those ready to test their roughstock skills. On Saturday, stick horse barrel races bring out the competitive spirit in cowboys and cowgirls of all ages.
Free to enjoy and open all weekend — a great spot to keep the whole family entertained between events.
